| Echo Ridge Cabins
offer a wilderness experience in beautiful northeastern Minnesota or a relaxed vacation in
scenic Bluff County of southeastern Minnesota. North of Ely along the Echo Trail are two
rustic cabins on Hunch Lake. Picturesque rugged rocks and large pines surround Hunch Lake.
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is nearby. Hegman Lake with its Indian
Pictographs is less than 1 mile away. Our Spring Valley Log Cabin is also very private and
peaceful - setting among beautiful trees and along a trout stream. These cabins are available year around. Echo Ridge Cabins is family owned and operated by Jerry and Diane Schwarz. They have built the Echo Log Cabin (near Ely) and the Spring Valley Log Cabin themselves. Their family was completely involved, from sawing the trees down, skidding the logs with horses, peeling the logs by hand, to scribe fitting the logs. |

| All finish work was done by family members also. Now we have decided to let other people enjoy these unique cabins and some of Minnesotas most scenic areas. | |

The Hunch
Lake Cabin and the Echo Log Cabin are the only cabins on Hunch Lake (a private lake) and
are separated by 1/4 mile of beautiful pines. A private gated driveway off the Echo Trail
leads you ½ mile to the cabins. The BWCA and State Forest Land surround our 80 acres. Welcome to Hunch Lake! |
| The
Spring Valley Log Cabin was the first log cabin that we built. It is in a wooded area
which is very private. Nearby is Preston and Lanesboro, which are towns that are very
popular with bike trails, scenic bluffs, Amish farm families, and trout streams.
