| This is a new log building with a very unique design. It has a loft with 2 bedroom areas. Large white and red pine trees surround the cabin. Many large windows give the feeling of "being in the north woods". There are gas lights, gas appliances, and a wood stove against a rock-laid chimney. |  |

An inside bathroom has
a sink and tub/shower unit, while an outhouse is near the cabin. A large deck will allow
you to enjoy the magnificent view down to Hunch Lake, some 80 feet below. Take a
switch-back (somewhat steep) trail down to the small, private, and scenic lake, where a
canoe is waiting for you. There is a canoe available at the cabin for day trips to other
area lakes. Echo's unique design continues into the cabin, and it's loft and windows provide magnificent views of Hunch Lake. |
| Wildlife - moose, wolves, deer, loons, etc - are frequently seen. There are many trails in the area for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and dog-sledding rides are available. For our winter guests, there is a ski trail to the North Arm ski trail system. Rental skis and snowshoes can be made available with advanced notice. |  |

To find this
picturesque cabin and wilderness area, travel approximately 15 miles North from Ely, MN,
on the Echo Trail. A private-gated driveway leads you approximately ½ mile into the cabin
area. Only one other cabin (Hunch Lake Cabin) is on the lake. It is 1/4 mile away. Echo Log Cabin's outdoor facilities. |
